Our Story
Food is a language of love...

… and it has always been a big priority in our lives. Travel for food, gather with food, connect through food and share good food with good folk.
At the beginning of 2020 we found out that our family of 2 was going to be a family of 3. I began reading and learning all I could about this new world unknown to me and discovered that there was an abundance of information out there to help you pack your hospital bag, prepare for childbirth and raise your baby but only a few resources with information on how to prepare for the postpartum period. It seemed, like myself, many women were preparing for childbirth but had forgotten about the hours, days and weeks following the birth. Preparation was key. With that in mind I started preparing the best way I knew how and that was to start cooking.
An idea was brewing….
Now a family of 3, euphoric and exhausted, thanks to the arrival of our beautiful sunshine, Ziggy. Feeling a pull to learn more about pregnancy and postpartum support, I began studying holistic pregnancy and postpartum nutrition. This incredible resource was so valuable to me at the time, being in the midst of my own postpartum journey, but not only that, I felt empowered knowing that I would be able to share this knowledge with fellow mothers, to help support and empower them.
That idea was beginning to resurface and slowly but surely Good Food Folk was born.
So here we are…
